Unit 2 – Private vs Public Information


A lesson I ran with Year 5 students.  Students picked a fictional character (instead of sharing real data).  They made up facts about that character and listed them on individual post-it notes. eg Date of birth, favourite colour, sport team, colour bike, address, bank account details etc.  Students then decided which notes they should walk down the street wearing.  What was OK to share and what should not be shared.  Why?
