Fake Scams Activity


A caller with a heavily accented voice:

“This is XX, costumer service representative of XXXX Queensland Bank. I am calling you because I found that you’ve overpaid on your mortgage payment and is therefore eligible to receive a refund of up to $30,000. Before I can transfer the money however, I need you to pay administration fee.

“Yes, I understand. The fee is $500.

“Thank you for paying the fee. Your refund will be transferred into your account within 10 to 15 business day. Thank you for your cooperation.”
