Unit 4 Task

Task: Create or find a classroom resource that teaches students about creating strong passwords, passcodes or passphrases.

To begin, initiate a class discussion around passwords and if students understand the concept of strong and weak passwords. They can talk to their neighbour and discuss why we have passwords, why they need to be strong and how you can create strong passwords. the teacher will then inform students that strong passwords are not dictionary words, they are between 8-20 characters long and also have numbers or symbols in them.

Next, the students will complete the ‘Powerful passwords Activity’ created by CSER. Students write the passwords in the bubble into the table by classifying them as weak, medium or strong.
