This video shows students what NOT to do, and what TO DO when creating a strong and secure password. Students might even see some of their bad password habits represented in the video. This could be used at the start of a lesson to engage students.
Additionally, these lesson plan resources from Using Technology Better explicitly demonstrate how to create strong and secure passwords and give students a go at checking the strength of their own passwords and reflecting on how they could be improved. The activities are engaging and ‘hands-on’ in the sense that students are collecting data and working collaboratively.
