This activity would be suitable for most year levels but most suitable for middle to upper primary as access to the internet is necessary for this task.
Have students visit https://www.dinopass.com/.
This is a website that generates child friendly passwords of varying strength levels.
Next have students pair up and each generate a simple password. Taking turns students can ask questions to try and figure out each others passwords. Students can record down the amount of guesses it took them to figure out their partners password. Next students can generate a strong password and see if they can ask questions to guess their partners password.
The stronger passwords feature more unique word and symbols making it much harder to guess. This will highlight the importance of selecting a strong and unique password as it will be a lot more difficult for people to access your online accounts.
