This resource from Twinkl (https://www.twinkl.com.au/resource/t2-i-117-perfect-passwords-activity-sheet) requires students to use personal (not private) information to create the “perfect password”. They need to read information about 3 students and develop a password based on their interests and other significant facts. Students can also do this with other students in the class, gathering interesting facts, likes/dislikes, hobbies etc and creating their “perfect password”. To support students, the worksheet provides criteria on what makes a strong password for them to follow when creating their own for the task. Students can then test the strength of these passwords on websites including https://howsecureismypassword.net/ to see how long it would take for a hacker to crack the passwords.
Note: It is extremely important to explain to the students to not share their passwords with classmates, or test these on the websites as they may not be secure. It is only okay to test passwords that the students generate for the task.
