This resource pack from Twinkl is a great resource that looks at the purpose of passwords and why and how we can create strong passwords.
Students are told about the most common passwords and will discuss why they might be weak or strong. Students will think about what people use computers for and why they may need a password. Students will look at the characteristics of strong and weak passwords. The lesson also briefly looks at phishing and two-factor authentication.
Students list what they use computers for that needs a password. Students will explain what a strong password is. Students will read and decipher which passwords are strong and which are weak. They will also create a password dos and don’ts list. Finally, students respond to a scenario involving a weak password.
