Every single person online has a digital footprint which is a collection of your past uses of the internet or cyber world. Commenting on social media or creating an email leaves you with a digital footprint. Another way technology collects data and information of you is through cookies. These are text files that collect what you have searched, looked at or what sites you might have an account with. It makes your online experience more personalised however they have had a lot of clap back around privacy concerns as they can store your personal information to a server. Most sites you visit now will come up with a notifier that the site uses cookies and you must approve the use of them.
