Unit 4
Option 2: resource for teaching strong passwords
Early in the year have students fill out and extensive “get to know me” worksheet. They will think nothing of this as it pretty standard. Then later in the term, when teaching cyber safety, have student create 3-5 passwords BEFORE teaching strong passwords. Using the information collected from the get to know me’s, as the teacher guess elements of random students’ passwords. i.e. “George, if you have green (favourite colour) in your password it is not strong”. Then go on to teach how we can create strong passwords. You can repeat this once student have created strong passwords to test their strength.
