Create or find a classroom resource that teaches students about creating strong passwords, passcodes or passphrases.
To teach students about creating strong passwords, teachers should make creating passwords fun. They should teach students to create passwords that do not contain any personal information, such as name, DOB, where they live or family members name. Instead, the password should be something fun the child enjoys or their favourite tv show to watch in the afternoons. The password needs to include a range of numbers, upper and lower case letters and symbols to ensure it is unable to be hacked.
