It is interesting to learn how data can be extracted from anywhere, even something as common as images, with the use of metadata or EXIF. We leave traces of information every time we use technology. When using social media, the profiles visited or how long is spent looking at a particular post is all information that can be logged. Searching browsers or messaging key words can also be traces of information, evident through advertisements related to messages we sent earlier coming up on our newsfeeds.
