Cyber security, cyber safety, and cyber awareness hold significantly different meanings

Cyber security is the application of technologies, processes, and controls to protect systems, networks, programs, devices, and data from cyber-attacks.

Internet security awareness or Cyber security awareness refers to how much end-users know about the cyber security threats their networks face, the risks they introduce, and mitigating security best practices to guide their behavior. … Employees could be taught about common threats and how to avoid or mitigate them.

Fundamentally, cyber safety focuses on people. Cybersafety uses technology to help protect the physical and emotional well-being of students, faculty, and staff on campus. These tools focus on protecting students from viewing explicit or violent content on school networks and computers, and from bullying and other inappropriate behavior. These tools monitor domains and content through filters to keep students safe and will alert teachers or staff when intervention is necessary.

In Informatics lessons, the school has integrated knowledge about cyber security for students. In the curriculum of Informatics, there is content about the privacy of personal information. But in addition, the teacher shared with the children how to be wary of strange links. How to set a password to prevent it from being stolen. Be aware of the security of your personal information, consider carefully when posting online. Cybersecurity Law helps students know how to protect themselves.
