Users can leave traces of information when they are surfing websites for ordering goods, inviting apply for courses…These actions will set up cookie systems that store all the data that consumers have made on the online systems, and they can track consumers’ every action and let advertising reach them.

By the way, the users also leave traces when they interact (click, download, check…) elements or objects on dynamic websites.

Through social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram…we can leave traces of information with our digital footprints through activities such as searching information, pressing the like button, leaving comments, uploading pictures and messaging, or even just following other people’s accounts…
