Question 2: Create or find a classroom resource that teaches students about creating strong passwords, passcodes or passphrases.

Password and Passpharase:

  • A password is a secret word or combination of letters or numbers (a string of characters) used for authenticating a user to give them the right to access information on a computer system.
  • A passphrase is similar to a password in usage, but it is longer and more secure. Most passphrases have a minimum requirement of 14 characters.

Have students create their own passwords, passwords, or passphrases, and test them on the following website: https://password.kaspersky.com/. Then show them how strong their passwords are and help correct their examples if needed.
