Some Differences Between Cybersecurity, Cyber Awareness and Cybersecurity
Cybersecurity: The practice of protecting computers, networks, programs, and data from digital attacks through security design, security controls and protections, security awareness, and user behavior. user. Cybersecurity is only as good as the people who create it, protect it, and use it. People, at all stages, play an important role in cybersecurity. It can be described as a system consisting of those involved in the design of secure systems, those who maintain security and protection, those who educate about cybersecurity awareness, and those who use the digital tools.
Cyber awareness: Knowledge, attitudes and behaviors aimed at protecting our information assets. We can raise awareness about cyberspace through education and policy. This could be education and policies in schools, workplaces or classrooms.
Cyber safety: Cyber safety (or internet safety, online safety, and electronic safety) is the safe and responsible use of information and communication technology (ICT). We must behave like good digital citizens when interacting and collaborating in the online space and using technology. Cybersecurity refers to knowledge and skills that we can apply to ensure we behave in a safe and responsible way online.
I think we should teach cyber security and cyber awareness in schools because it provides knowledge and skills to help each student protect their own information and data from technical attacks. digitally, have the correct knowledge and behavior when participating in the network environment, and use information communication technologies safely and responsibly.
At school, I am teaching and only teaching students the basics of network security such as installing an anti-virus program to avoid data loss, having to set a password when logging in to a certain program that includes , numbers, special characters, uppercase and lowercase letters to protect your information data. Remind students to be aware when participating in the network to protect public information, avoid accessing dark websites, websites of unknown origin that are easily infected with viruses. In Vietnam, the State also has guidelines, policies and laws when users participate in cyberspace.
