Cyber security, cyber safety, and cyber awareness hold significantly different meanings basic difference:

Cyber security means protecting data and information networks. Cyber awareness and cyber safety means protecting users from harmful online content.

  • Cyber security:

Cyber security consists of the policies and practices adopted to prevent and monitor unauthorised access of a computer network, routers and other network-related resources. Cyber security includes protection of data and application in the network from cyber attacks (e.g. anti-malware), virtual private networks, firewall protection and network access control policies.

Cyber security is also instrumental in preventing attacks that aim to disable or disrupt a system’s or device’s operations.

It’s also known as information technology security or electronic information security.)

  • Cyber awareness and cyber safety:

Cyber awareness is the identifier of the user network about its risk when participating. Thereby, it is possible to use some tools or applications to avoid the risks of accessing.

Cyber safety is the protection of information and information systems on a network from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, interruption, modification or destruction in order to ensure the integrity, confidentiality and availability of information.

To what extent are you teaching these in the classroom or do you think they should be taught?

Along with the great development of information technology and the internet, the connection and exchange of information and data has taken place globally. Along with those development benefits, the internet is a place with many potential risks about information security. Therefore, the issue of attention network security has received a lot of attention recently.

Realizing that to help students avoid cyber security risks, as a teacher, I will impart to students of highschool the following basic knowledge:

+ Basic concepts of network, network security, privacy of personal information in the cyberspace environment.

+ The ways to secure personal information.

From the knowledge and skills learned, students will know network security risks such as hackers, ransomware, malware and other forms of automated attacks…, from which they can avoid the potential harmful effects of cyberspace. Beside that students know how to use technology to protect information and personal property, Beware of tricks to infiltrate, spread malicious code, and fake information online.do not join untrust groups; Do not post photos of others people with false information that affects the dignity and honor of others…
