In modern life, there are thousands of ways that people can leave information traces by using technology. For example, during a transaction at a POS machine, an ATM, a user’s card may be photographed or copied.

Today, many banks are applying online payment by card, customers only need to declare two sides of the card and some other additional information such as phone number, address. Therefore, when the information of the card is stolen, the bad guy can completely pay online easily before being detected and locked the card.

According to a MasterCard survey published in October 2015, in Vietnam, the top concern when making electronic payment transactions is ATM card fraud (31%).

In short, we must know how to manage and secure our information to avoid being taken advantage of by others.
