In my point of view, the Covid-19 pandemic has contributed to the cyber threat problem, because many institutions, organization and companies of all sizes turned to remote work. Work-from-home is likely to stay in the foreseeable future, so there will be cyber threat, particularly cyber attacks.
Work-from-home has forced companies to open up access to private areas of the infrastructure, such as staff private information, network, business data. Through cloud adoption or through more relaxed access policies, institutions, organization and companies allow their workers outside the premises to interact with data and processes. This process may negatively impact business security and confidentiality. These can create a new avenue of attack. The hackers may try to get private information of staff to do blackmail. Or to threat the business of companies
